oncrete building products manufacturer Technicrete has signalled the new year by moving its entire White River manufacturing operations to bigger premises as it capitalizes on expanding new business opportunities across Mpumalanga.

The strategic relocation has seen Technicrete increasing production capacity by transferring its extensive production facilities to Farm Blink Water, Kabokweni Road, Plaston. “This is a clear demonstration that Technicrete is here to stay,” says Technicrete sales and marketing director Christo van Zyl.

“New business opportunities left us with no choice but to find larger premises to ensure that we continue to meet our promises to our increasing portfolio of customers in the Mpumalanga region. These promises are to consistently supply quality products - and to back this up with quality service.”

Van Zyl assured local customers that Technicrete will continue turning out a wide variety of quality concrete building and construction industry products such as roofing tiles, building bricks, paving for domestic, industrial and commercial purposes, kerbing, permeable paving, retainer walling and concrete erosion control systems – products which have marked its past successful growth.

The White River plant is one of 11 Technicrete manufacturing operations located in six provinces - Gauteng, North West, Limpopo, Eastern Cape, Free State and Mpumalanga.

The move is the latest in a series of major structural changes in recent months for the company, which has traded under the name of Technicrete since 1968. These included acquiring new status as an independent company within the Murray & Roberts construction materials cluster following M&R’s acquisition of the Concor Group, its re-launch with a strong new identity as Technicrete, and the subsequent move to its own corporate headquarters in Gauteng.
