Behind the elegant exterior of this holiday apartment block – The Dunes, at Jeffrey’s Bay – is a design that specified concrete stock bricks in preference to clay bricks. The ready availability of the bricks from Technicrete, as well as their high quality finish and known durability, were deciding factors.
The Dunes comprises 20 apartments, most of them used by holidaymakers, though there are a number of permanent residents. There is also underground parking for the home-owners.
The developers, Lamprecht Properties, are leading exponents of the alternative use of concrete stock bricks in the Eastern Cape region.
