Technicrete ISG paves the way

Technicrete ISG is renowned for the supply of the most comprehensive range of quality pre-cast concrete products for the building, construction and mining sectors in South Africa. It has become one of the country’s iconic brands which contractors have used for many different applications throughout 2016.

From upmarket residential paving, local government infrastructure projects, private clinics to the installation of environmentally friendly permeable paving at various building projects, Technicrete’s pre-cast concrete solutions offer architects and developers an affordable, aesthetically pleasing and economical solution.

Group Marketing and Communications Manager, Guinevere Thomas said “Our products have a wide range of applications, and during 2016 have been utilised not only for paving installations, but for drainage, retaining walls, kerbing, erosion protection, masonry as well as a variety pre-bagged cement and grout elements for the mining sector.”

“Everyone in the current economic climate is sourcing products and technologies that will give them a cost effective solution with a long life-span and good durability for their developments. Obviously, a key factor in all of these equations during 2016 has been the service and technical back-up that Technicrete ISG supplies” said Thomas.

Raymond Metcalfe, Contracts Manager at Civtek (PTY) Ltd said “Technicrete’s price, reliability and proven track record with Civtek made them a natural partner for us on a new logistics warehouse project. “ The warehousing project also comprised a Retention Dam, and after taking technical advice from the Technicrete ISG’s sales representative, our engineer selected their Earthform retaining wall blocks to support the 150 m2  surrounding the dam whilst still giving a pleasing finish and an easy maintenance offering” concluded Metcalfe.

“During 2016 we have supplied to local government for infrastructural upgrade and academic accommodation projects around the country as well as private residential, industrial and commercial developments. We are fortunate that despite the tough environment within which we operate, we can source and supply very easily due to our network of manufacturing plants country-wide. The sheer vastness of our pre-cast concrete products is what has stood us in good stead during this year. Our products are respected for their environmental qualities as well as their durability and affordability” said Thomas.

“We at the IS Group, the holding company for Technicrete ISG, also believe we should assist local communities, and during 2016 we donated palisade fencing to assist in securing the facilities of the Viva Foundation’s Viva Villages in the Cullinan and Mamelodi area” concluded Thomas.
